Exported data opens in the browser instead of downloading a .CSV file.

When you open a .CSV data file while using certain browsers it might open in your browser rather than saving as a .CSV. To correct this, please do the following:

Apple Safari

1. In Safari, with the .CSV file opened, click File > Save As
2. At the bottom of the pop-up, click "Format:" and change this to "Page Source"
3. Click Save

Google Chrome

1. View the file contents in Google Chrome
2. Click File > Save As, select CSV file

Now you can open this file in Excel to explore your data.
