Manually create a merch store
Merch stores can be created in two ways, from a quote and manually.
Before creating a store, you'll want to make sure you:
- Have a Payment Processor set-up - Instructions
- Have shipping setup using EasyPost - Instructions
To create a store manually:
- Click Apps on the sidebar
- Click Merch in the middle of the page
- At the top right, click on New Store
- Fill out relevant information and click Save
After creating a store, you will want to begin creating products.
Here is a video that shows this process:
Create a merch store from a quote
Merch stores can be created in two ways, from a quote and manually.
A proposal can be created in the form of a Printavo quote to be approved by the organizer. This quote would have artwork, production information, sale price, start/end dates, minimums, and other details. Here is a quote example.
When ready, you can create your Merch store by:
- Viewing the quote
- Clicking on More Actions
- Clicking on Create Merch Store
You will notice a few things when creating a store from a quote:
From a Quote | To Merch |
Enter in any value into the original quote line item columns. Here is a quote example. | This will populate product sizes. Example: a "1" in the Small and Medium column will create Small and Medium product sizes for you. |
Mockups | Product images |
Line item description |
Product description |
Please also note, there is a minimum price of $2.00 for the line item to be able to be in a quote and carried over to a Merch store.
If a customer switches payment processors while they have an open store, will that affect anything?
It should not affect anything. The only caveat might be with refunds.
Here is a video that shows this process:
Duplicating a Merch Store
Right now you are not able to duplicate a Merch store. One thing you can do, however, is if a Merch store was created from a quote, you can duplicate the quote and create a new Merch store from there.
International Shipping in Merch
Currently, international shipping outside of the US is not supported as well as APO addresses.
Archive & unarchive Merch stores
When viewing Merch stores, you can more Archive a store. To do this:
- View the Merch store
- Click More Actions > Archive Store
To unarchive a store:
- View the list of all stores
- Click Archived Stores at the bottom
- Click Unarchive next the store you wish to unarchive
Opening & closing merch stores
To open a store and make it live for your customers, you will need to go the store’s admin page and use the "Closed/Live" toggle at the top right of the page.
Once you have moved a store to “Live”, the store will be open for your customers.
Slide this toggle back to close the store when you'd like. When a store is closed, visitors will see a page like this:
Am I able to delete sizes within Printavo Merch?
At this time you are not able to delete sizes for Printavo Merch.
Can I create a Printavo Merch store but only for taking orders and not collect payment?
Yes, you can create a Printavo Merch store for only taking orders and not payment. We would recommend creating a coupon code for 100% off to give to your customers to enter in when checking out.

- Select the "%" button on the right and enter in "100%"
