Changes from custom domain messaging
Printavo is excited to launch Custom Domain Messaging for Premium Subscriptions.
Before
FROM: messages@messages.printavo.com
After
FROM: john@your-woodencotten-shop.com
When a Shop has its Custom Email Domain verified in Printavo any email sent from a User who has the Verified Custom Email Domain will have the email’s "From" be Steven Farag <steven@campus.ink> instead of Printavo <messages@messages.printavo.com>.
Messages that come from your email address
Take a look at an example message with the "From" as the sender's email address.
- Messages on an order
- Status change notifications
- Payment requests
Email addresses that aren't using the same domain name as the company, will come from messages@messages.printavo.com
How to verify your email domain
1. Initial Verification
- Navigate to My Account > Messaging
- Scroll to Custom Domain Messaging
- Enter your email address with a custom domain that you want to use
- Click Begin Verification button
- An email will be sent titled "Verify your domain for Mandrill". Please forward it to support@printavo.com
2. Add DKIM and DMARC to DNS Records
From here, you'll need to log into your website's domain provider in order to authenticate your domain for messaging. You'll need to locate your DNS settings and find the domain management area, DNS configuration or something similar to those. Please see the following screenshot of the following example on what you'll need to update and change:
1. DKIM: _ Create two CNAME records, one with the name mte1.domainkey.yourdomain.com with the value dkim1.mandrillapp.com, and another with the name mte2.domainkey.yourdomain.com and the value dkim2.mandrillapp.com
2. DMARC: Create and save a TXT record in your DNS with a name of _dmarc.yourdomain.com and a value of v=DMARC1; p=none
Note: It can take 24-48 hrs for domain changes to take effect.
